From big names to small names, we read stories that are funny, thought-provoking, poignant, and weird. We run the gamut of comics that are realistic, surrealistic, and everything in between.

The first exceprt, Killing and Dying, by Adrian Tomine is heart-wrenching and beautiful. The panel layout is very mechanical, in a way, but it propels the story with a fascinating sense of time. The characters are realistic, and relatable. A few pages in, and the full meaning of the comic’s title hits you like a ton of bricks.

You owe it to yourself to check out this anthology.
