Comic Book Club #200 Giveaway!

To celebrate the 200th episode of The Weekly vmcampos Comic Book Club, you have a chance to win a cool prize. Watch the video, or listen to the podcast, to find out how!

I started The Weekly vmcampos Comic Book Club to showcase my love of comics. I have lots of issues in my collection, and I pick up a comic book or two (or ten) every so often. The series, then, is a review of the comic I’m reading that week.

I’m amazed that I’ve made it to two hundred episodes!

I couldn’t have done it without you, the listeners. So, thank you! Listen to (or watch) the episode to enter a giveaway (no purchase necessary) that I know you’ll love.

The previous version of the podcast was actually, “The Comic Book Commute” podcast. You can still listen to all episodes on Soundcloud. It was a monthly show where I talked about comics in general as I drove to work. That lasted 18 episodes, and then I segued into a weekly series about specific comics.

Thus, on March 23, 2016, the first episode of The Weekly vmcampos Comic Book Club debuted. The first comic I talked about was DKIII: The Master Race, the new hotness at the time.

In the 199 episodes that followed, I covered comics from Marvel, DC, Image, Darkhorse, Dynamite, IDW, Disney, and everything in between. I’ve covered a lot of indie, under-the-radar comics. I’ve covered long-forgotten black-and-white comics. I’ve covered some Underground Comix. And I’ve covered San Diego Comic-Con.

In 2019 I started a video version of the podcast. Now you can actually see the comic books I talk about. The video version lets me practice my video editing skills, and is a labor of love.

I’ve read so many great stories, viewed so much great art, found so many great comic deals. It’s been an amazing journey. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have some comics to read, in preparation for the next 200 episodes!
